19 Days strong πŸ’ͺ🏻

Picture this. It’s a Tuesday and you have a cheeky check of the scales. Weigh day is a Saturday morning and you’ve been pretty good yet you step on and you’re 2 lbs up!!! Needless to say I was gutted.

Instead of letting that be an excuse to give up for the day or to say yes to a doughnut or cake I took action. I made sure my diet was online with the plan (slimming world) and dusted the bike off.

The 5.3km commute to work gives me a 50 minute workout and a total 10km(ish) cycle.

Fast forward to Saturday morning I woke up positive I drank 2 litres of water, had coffee with almond milk and felt great until I realised I hadn’t weighed in yet… so all that additional water I didn’t lose anything. So a couple of pees and a clay mud wrap later and I am a total of…

And I’m pretty freaking proud!!!

It’s just the start of the journey and I know I have more ahead of me than behind but I am open to the challenge and the change. It’s only been 19 days but I can see the change in behaviours in myself. If we want take away, we have take away but I choose the least impact to my diet and show restraint in how much I consume.

Also today someone acknowledged my weight loss I haven’t seen for awhile and that felt pretty good.
